CAR WASH! CAR WASH!: The move itself wasn't too bad. We had gorgeous weather, probably due to the prayers of the church that was running a fund-raising car wash two doors down from us. Our prayers for the girls screaming at passing cars to go hoarse, however, went unanswered.
Beer and Cupcakes wound up being a good enough bribe to get us 2 cars and 3 movers, so we got most everything moved on Saturday. Even though Ryan had some silly objection to drinking a diuretic while lifting heavy things on a hot sunny day. weirdo.
The Moving Fantasy: Our new apartment has a public deck right outside our bedroom, with a catwalk around to the kitchen door. Most things went in the kitchen door easily enough but that 90° turn wasn't going to happen with the bed frame. So we indulged every guy's fantasy when moving: we went in through the window.
At this point, we can do all the things that you do in an apartment, but we still have a lot of random stuff in boxes because we don't know where else to put them. We also have a bunch of Ikea furniture unassembled. When we finish that stuff, I'll post some pikchas.
